I support adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted—especially those navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship stress.

Therapy with me is a steady, non-judgmental space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and build practical tools that fit your real life.

My work is culturally responsive and affirming. I offer care that honors identity, lived experience, and the impact of systems on mental health.

I’m Mariam, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist practicing in Toronto. I’m drawn to work that helps people feel safer in their bodies, clearer in their minds, and more connected in their relationships.

Many people come to therapy carrying a lot of stress, grief, trauma, burnout, or the pressure of “holding it together.” You don’t need to have the perfect words. We’ll start where you are.

In our work together, we’ll focus on understanding patterns, strengthening coping skills, and building the kind of support that feels sustainable, not performative.

What I Help With

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and constant worry

  • Trauma and its impact on mood, sleep, and relationships

  • Depression, low motivation, and feeling disconnected

  • Self-esteem, people-pleasing, and boundaries

  • Relationship patterns, conflict, and communication

  • Identity exploration and life transitions

My Story

My Approach

My approach is collaborative, practical, and compassionate. We’ll move at your pace while still working toward real change.

Sessions may include skill-building, reflection, and strategies you can use between appointments. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and EMDR-informed care, along with mindfulness and somatic-based tools to support emotional regulation and mind–body connection.
